Now This Is Scary
What happens if we lose all our electricity? What would our nation do? What would you do? Do you realize how much of our lives are controlled and assisted by electricity? Now, if someone could disrupt, or destroy, our ability to provide this utility, what would our nation do? That is scary to even think about. So, consider the following articles…
North Korea EMP Attack Could Destroy US…Now
Peter Vincent Pry writes, in The Washington Times, “North Korea now has an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) capable of delivering a nuclear weapon to the United States, as demonstrated by their successful launch and orbiting of a satellite on Dec. 12. Certain poorly informed pundits among the chattering classes reassure us that North Korea is still years away from being able to miniaturize warheads for missile delivery, and from developing sufficiently accurate missiles to pose a serious nuclear threat to the United States…In fact, North Korea is a mortal nuclear threat to the United States— right now.
North Korea has already successfully tested and developed nuclear weapons. It has also already miniaturized nuclear weapons for ballistic missile delivery and has armed missiles with nuclear warheads. In 2011, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Lt. General Ronald Burgess, testified to the Senate Armed Services Committee that North Korea has weaponized its nuclear devices into warheads for ballistic missiles.
He goes on in this article: “In summer 2004, a delegation of Russian generals warned the Congressional Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Commission that secrets had leaked to North Korea for a decisive new nuclear weapon — a Super-EMP warhead.
Any nuclear weapon detonated above an altitude of 30 kilometers will generate an electromagnetic pulse that will destroy electronics and could collapse the electric power grid and other critical infrastructures — communications, transportation, banking and finance, food and water — that sustain modern civilization and the lives of 300 million Americans. All could be destroyed by a single nuclear weapon making an EMP attack.
“A Super-EMP attack on the United States would cause much more and much deeper damage than a primitive nuclear weapon, and so would increase confidence that the catastrophic consequences will be irreversible. Such an attack would inflict maximum damage and be optimum for realizing a world without America.”
Ok, let me get this straight. We knew about some of this in 2004. In 2011 Congress heard testimony of North Korea’s ballistic missle system’s progress. North Korea has now put a satellite in orbit, and has the capacity, right now, of putting a nuclear device over the US…that could shut down our entire electrical grid…totally!
So…what are we doing about it? What are you doing about the possibility of no electricity, none! Something to think about. Read the rest of this article here…
Imagine if all the lights in America went off – never to come back on again.
Imagine if all the computers in America got fried – never to come back on again.
Imagine if all the cars in America dependent on fancy circuitry wouldn’t start – ever again.
Imagine if the grocery stores and the gas stations had to close up – for good.
WND explores The Washington Times’ article in this article, written Jan. 1, 2013. “In fact, the Times report says, “North Korea is a mortal nuclear threat to the United States – right now.””
It seems Congress and the administrations of previous and current presidents largely have ignored these warnings. However, President Obama has recently ordered up enhanced missle protection..a bit late, but something, nonetheless. Why…because perhaps he is finally seeing that an EMP attack poses the biggest threat to US National and Economic security in our lifetime.
This WND article, obviously promoting a book on the subject, has some straight forward warnings we need to heed. “A few years ago, a congressional commission went into considerable depth on those consequences to our electricity-dependent infrastructures that include not only the power grid itself but also telecommunications, our banking and finance system, our transportation system that delivers the very food and water on which our society depends on a daily basis, and the fuel needed to keep our houses warm in the winter and air-conditioned during the summer.”
I am not necessarily recommending the book, however I am recommending reading the article and doing some of your own research on this subject. Then decide what you must do to protect and provide for yourself. Read the rest of the article here…
Our electrical grid is an accident waiting to happen.
A quick blog telling of the vulnerabilities in the US electric grid’s old technology. Bottom line…we are very vulnerable to a sophisticated physical assault that could produce catastrophic results.
I am trying real hard not to be a conspiracy theorist…but goodness, folks, the stuff that is being exposed by many across our nation just gives pause. Consider the following articles that are shown on the Drudge Report, and draw your own conclusions…
Hundreds of DHS Armored Trucks on the Move?
This article contains footage of hundreds of armored trucks, similar to ones reportedly purchased recently by the Department Of Homeland Security has appeared online, raising more questions over their intended use. The video was uploaded to YouTube last week by a user who stated that it was shot in the middle of the desert between Hackberry and Peach Springs, Arizona. It shows hundreds of military style trucks loaded on to a train, presumably in the process of being delivered domestically for law enforcement or military purposes.
The article also contains several more videos and at least 14 pictures of these armored vehicles with “Homeland Security” identification.
If you Google this subject, you get far more information that you can assimilate. Goodness…read it all here…
DHS To Buy 360,000 More Rounds of Hollow Point Ammunition
While the Department of Homeland Security continues to ignore members of Congress demanding to know why the federal agency is engaged in an apparent arms build-up, the DHS has just announced it plans to purchase another 360,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition to add to the roughly 2 billion bullets already bought over the past year.
