Comments following the Presidential Election...as I am deeply saddened by what I just witnessed. I had hoped for better.
Last night we witnessed extreme damage to our Constitutional Republic. It seems the fabric of our conservative society has become unraveled. Will we be relegated to the dust bin of history as a “has been” empire? Today we have a country run by secular progressives who are rejecting our Constitution, what we stand for and who we are as a nation. The Supreme Court will forever be altered after its conservative members have been replaced by the liberal academics who call themselves “progressives.” Voters did not see through the media; they did not care about our children’s future; women did not think of themselves as more than “lady parts”; the majority were not disgusted by ‘Fast and Furious’ and Benghazi. Seems decades of liberalism pervading our schools and pop culture have done their work on us.
How long will we still have freedom of speech, movement, assembly and control of our private property? Welfare dependent Americans, unions and illegal aliens have chosen for the rest of us a path of serfdom, a life under “big government” and a seeming socialist utopia.
No matter the cries of “Hope and Change”, for those who voted for ensure the coming storm are nothing but betrayers of something that could have been great…and will not end as a dream unfulfilled. Yesterday’s vote has greatly enabled those whose vision of America is not that of many of us who still believe in patriotism, God and our constitution. Oh, I believe that one day we may rise again, when enough Americans have had their fill of socialism and “progressiveness” and realize what a sham it all is…when we again realize what it is to truly be an American! As a country, we are no longer united, we no longer expect our states to be sovereign governors of our individual regions. We are not only facing economic bankruptcy, but moral bankruptcy as well
Today I am not filled with hope, but I will recover. Fortunately, my hope is not based on government or politics, but on my faith. A friend wrote this morning: “I pray when our nation realizes it has hit bottom, that its people will look up to God and not reach for a shovel.” I will continue to pray for our nation, for our future, and for our leaders. Goodness knows they need it.
Now…several articles that are not too rosy. In fact, with increasing clarity, they point to what has just happened and come to their own conclusions. Read on…then come to your own conclusions!
America Commits Suicide – This is a “Must Read” article for anyone seeking to understand what has happened to our country. He not only explains how this election took place, but writes a clear and understandable history of Obama and why he acts like he does. He asks why Americans did not understand…why are we accepting the incredible debt this President has encumbered us with? Why haven’t we understood the results of the erosion to our military might? Why did we ignore the President’s record of failure…his “stimulus” and the bankruptcy of the “clean energy” companies that couldn’t compete without public funding?
Alan Caruba writes that the voters elected, not a man of character, but a man of charisma. “They ignored four years of failure and deception. In advertising, they say “Sell the sizzle, not the steak.” Romney, sadly, lacked sizzle. Obama’s victory was one of a long line of Progressives…it will likely do more damage on top of what his predecessors have done.”
“Obama has never had any real sense of how people feel about things that are important to them. Why should he? He was raised in a communist cocoon in which family, friends, fellow students, teachers, and mentors ensured he would never be exposed to the fundamentals of free market capitalism that has been the bedrock of the nation’s prosperity.
Alan goes on to explain that the majority of Americans ignored the realities of our nation’s economy, that the path we are on will only delay our way out of debt and dependency. He asks, “Today, conservatives in America are wondering if the 2012 election was a vote to commit national suicide?” Read the entire article here...
Where do we go from here? – Selwyn Duke, one of those conservatives who predicted Obama’s second term, now asks where we can go from here! He opines that “America is lost”…it is headed for a dark winter. Then he goes on to explain what prevents conservatives from “seeing the clouds on the horizon.” He declares that no truly “conservative” Republican will ever again win national office…ever! I think he is right.
We have to face a simple fact: Mitt Romney is a photogenic, articulate, moderate Republican who was up against a scandal-ridden, leftist radical presiding over a listing economy and foundering foreign policy. Still he couldn’t win. Or, I should say, voters chose to lose. Because what the American people were before, they are no more.
This is an important article for those who want to truly understand what is happening and how we got here. Selwyn includes a number of links to other articles and documentation for those who would better understand, and who want more background information.

The End of an Empire – “Our Constitutional Republic died a peaceful death on November 6, 2012. Having reached the point of no return in a comatose state after years of progressive and illegal immigration assaults, the fabric of conservative society is now completely unraveled and Uncle Sam’s America is no more.” Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh writes of the demise of her adopted country, that the will of the people has spoken…& America died. Obama-Land vs. the USA: The end of a Country, its People and Liberty – Sher Zieve is a nationally known author and political commentator. Her op-ed columns are widely carried by multiple internet journals and sites as well as many newspapers across the country. She writes: “On Nov. 6 the Islamo-Marxist “President” of the United States of America Barack Hussein Obama was elected to another 4 years in office. Whether many in the country choose to believe it or not, we are not only now facing an era of almost unbearable hardship but, the removal of any and all of our once-Constitutional liberties and rights as human beings. We are moving from the light back into the darkness of both body and soul…”
Sher is vivid in her pronouncements and prognostications. I truly hope she is not right, but it is worth reading and considering. Perhaps her writings will stir us to be ever vigilant against what she says may be coming down the road.
She ends, “May God be with us and—I pray—eventually lead us out of our now-inevitable bondage. But, it appears now that it will not be soon.” Read the entire article here…
The End of America – Renard E. Gervais writes: “It is the end of a great land. The truest prediction of the entire election process was that we cannot afford another 4 years like we’ve just gone through.
This is the end of God in this land. This is the end of freedom and all the liberties once guaranteed by the Constitution. This is the end of sanity. We will now be governed by whim.
We shall become a land that panders to those who will not do, just demand. Those who are productive because of an internal compass, the truest sense of right and wrong, will be the minority.” He goes on to say that too many Americans do not understand the term, “to be an American.”
